Carl Fischer Music is seeking a motivated, mature, full-time Office Manager to support company operations by

maintaining office systems and communications, support executives with administrative functions and

employees by administering benefits and maintaining personnel. This position will report to the CEO and

will serve as the primary liaison for all human resource-related needs, inquiries and assistance.


As one of the oldest music publishing companies in America, Carl Fischer Music publishes educational

and contemporary classical music. Large enough to be a leader in the industry yet small enough for each

Responsibilities include:

 Create assorted reports as needed

 Make travel arrangements, review and process expense reports

 Keep track of and order office supplies

 Maintain office machines (printers, postage meter)

 Evaluate and administer benefit plans

 Manage recruitment process: post job descriptions, schedule and conduct interviews

 Manage internship program: interview, hire, train, assign and monitor interns

 Maintain personnel files and various light HR duties

 Set up computers and phones for new hires

 Plan and organize company events such as holiday parties and company picnics


Requirements

 Bachelor degree required

 3 years of related experience

 Ability to work independently and efficiently

 Ability to prioritize work with strong multi-tasking, organizational and project-management skills

 Ability to work well with managers and staff alike

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word

 Strong work ethic and attention to detail

 Knowledge of classical music or publishing a plus but not required

Compensation will depend on prior experience. Excellent benefits package offered after 3 months of

full-time employment.
